Newmarket Academy is a ‘Good’ school
CEO Howard Lay of the Samuel Ward Academy Trust joined the Principal and students at Newmarket Academy to celebrate the publication of the school’s ‘Good’ Ofsted report.
Ofsted Inspectors spent 2 days at the Academy on the 18-19th May and published their report on 30th June. The four person team examined every aspect of the school and judged the school’s overall effectiveness as ‘Good’ in all key categories.
This week Newmarket Academy students took part in ‘Sky Sports – ‘Living for Sport’ Athlete mentors scheme. The project that we are running aims to raise boy’s aspirations and achievement through sporting projects. The project promotes six keys to success: Mental toughness, hunger to achieve, people skills, Sports and life knowledge, breaking barriers & planning for success.
