English

Year 7 – Booklet attached 

Year 8 – Students should read all the poems in the Anthology and complete the three task sheets for Brothers, Nettles and Mid Term Break. They should then use the example poetry comparison planning grid to plan an essay on two of the poems which they should then write in their books.

Year 9 – work through the Exam Skills Pack for Paper 1.

Year 10 – read the revision guide for the Love and Relationships poetry, annotating their anthologies if they have them at home. Then complete the questions on the Teachit resources for poems they have studied so far. They should also watch all the GCSE pods for each poem they have studied.

Year 11 – to be set individually by class teachers via email.

Maths

To keep your hand in, especially if you are studying Maths in September, I will email you periodically with some work to complete. If you require more, please ask and I will send some through.

3 exam papers (in the download area) for you and this should take you through to Easter. I have also attached their mark schemes so you can mark your own work. If you have any questions, please ask and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Year 11

GGT and CSS classes - 3 sets of one-mark exam questions for you to be working on for the next three weeks (up to Easter and one week after Easter).

Year 9, 8 and 7 Maths

Two workbooks containing the maths work for you to complete at home between now and the end of the school year are attached in an email or on teh downloads section to the right of this page and a 10-week plan to help you manage your work and spread it out.  This is just a guide.  Feel free to plan your own timetable if you prefer.

The work can be either completed in your exercise book or it can be printed out and done directly onto the sheets.  It is up to you.

Science 

Year 7-8 - weekly educake for all of the year group. They can also complete the rest of the term two booklets.

Year 9-10 -weekly educake quizzes for the whole year group and homework booklet

RE

Year 7: Extend homework on 'Religious Heroes' by researching the work of two more people who have been inspired by their faith to do great things. Learn the specialist vocabulary for this term (See document attached)

Year 8: Extend homework on Evil by researching Hindu and Buddhist teachings about evil: Where does it come from and how should they respond to it? Learn the specialist vocabulary for this term (See document attached)

Year 9: Learn All specialist Key concepts and vocabulary for the Christianity topic (See documents attached). Work through the SENECA EDUQAS RE units on Christianity

Year 10: Learn all vocabulary for Life and Death topic so far (see document attached). Work through SENECA EDUQAS RE units on Christianity, Islam and Relationships

Year 11: Use Textbook/ revision guide/ BBC Bitesize/SENECA to complete Human rights topic: Wealth and Poverty, Christian Aid, Islamic relief, Extremism and Censorship. Revise each unit of work then through past papers and possible exam questions (already sent by email) then send to Mrs Matten for Marking/feedback.Watch the news in relation to RE issues generally and also specific issues linked to Coronavirus and its impact on religious believers and also their response (Charity work etc)
